Online Office Resources MCC has developed the Online Office to help LCCs manage their work. By using this simple Web site, each LCC can track its applications, financial information, and membership data.

The Massachusetts state budget is a key factor in determining LCC allocations each year. Each fiscal year , the Massachusetts State Legislature allocates funds to the Massachusetts Cultural Council's budget. In turn, the MCC distributes a portion of those state funds to each LCC.

The MCC uses the state's local aid formula to determine the amount to be allocated to each LCC. The formula takes into account population and property values and is weighted in such a way to give larger distributions to less wealthy communities. LCC allocations range from $3,870 to $176,000.

In addition to financial support, MCC also supports the work of LCCs through a range of services, including the Online Office, the Gold Star Program, professional development opportunities, and regular convenings of LCC members.
