In addition to the LCC Program, Massachusetts
Cultural Council supports the arts and culture sector
through a broad mix of funding programs and services:
Arts Program - funding initiatives that connect artists
and cultural organizations to local and state economic development
efforts, nurture new arts and cultural enterprise development,
raise awareness of the Commonwealth's cultural products, and
increase arts and cultural visitors to the state
Fellowships - grants to individual artists in Choreography,
Crafts, Drawing, Fiction/Creative Nonfiction, Film and Video,
Music Composition, Painting, Photography, Playwriting, Poetry,
Sculpture/Installation, and Traditional Arts.
Yellow School Bus - provides $200 grants to help schools
meet the transportation costs of educational field trips to
cultural institutions and activities in Massachusetts.
Facilities Fund - the fund provides Capital Grants to
promote the acquisition, design, repair, rehabilitation renovation,
expansion, or construction of nonprofit cultural facilities
Investment Portfolio - provides unrestricted funding for
nonprofit arts, humanities, and interpretive science organizations
Residencies - grants of $500-$5,000 to schools to support
creative learning residencies of three days or more in the
arts, sciences, and humanities.
Arts Apprenticeships - grants to master artists to support
the teaching of rare traditional arts.

opportunities in youth development programs.
Districts - This initiative will encourage Massachusetts
communities to strengthen this sense of place, while stimulating
economic activity, improving the experiences of visitors to
our communities, and creating a higher quality of life.
