The Waltham Cultural Council makes LCC and Field Trip grants to artists, groups and educational institutions to help fund events in the arts, humanities, or interpretive sciences that will enrich the Waltham Community, per MCC guidelines as well as local posted guidelines. We support activities and events that appeal to a diverse population (gender, age, ethnicity, disability) and encourage diversity in performances and events. Priority is given to activities that take place in Waltham; activities outside of Waltham that enrich the Waltham community will be considered. New applicants are encouraged to apply. The WCC will accept applications from Sept. 1 through Oct. 15, for events that occur between July 1 of the application year and December 31 of the following calendar year.
The amount available for the 2016FY will be posted after July 1.

The grant season for FY2016 starts July 1. We will accept new applications starting September 1 postmarked until October 15, 2015. Applications postmarked outside the grant receiving dates may be discarded; no grant postmarked later than Oct. 15 can be considered per state regulations.
2015 applicants are invited to present their proposals to the Council in person and answer any questions we may have at a meeting held for this purpose IN NOVEMBER (date TBD). This is a great opportunity to clear up any confusion or questions that arise when we review your applications and can be helpful in promoting your project. This is a public meeting. Only those on the agenda (including applicants who sign in) are invited to speak but anyone is welcome to attend. Applicants will all be notified by email, so be sure you include your email address on your applications!
To donate to the Waltham Cultural Council and help us help Waltham more, please mail a check, made out to the "Waltham Cultural Council" to "Treasurer, Waltham Cultural Council" PO Box 540435, Waltham MA 02454. Donations are tax deductible and a letter of acknowledgement will be provided for donations over $250.
