Lee Cultural Council

MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of Massachusetts local and regional cultural councils is to support public programs that promote access, education, diversity, and excellence in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences in communities across the commonwealth. The mission of the Lee Cultural Council is to promote a rich and diverse cultural life in the Lee community, strongly supporting programs, events, and performances which entertain and/or encourage critical thinking, creativity, and community building.

The Lee Cultural Council prioritizes programs which…
·       Benefit citizens of Lee and the Lee community
·       Benefit underserved populations, elderly, and youth
·       Foster exposure to other cultures
·       Encourage critical thinking
• Entertain and educate
• Advance and encourage diversity, equity, inclusion, and access for public benefit

FY24 Local Guidelines

Applicants should indicate a venue and proposed date(s) for their project and have a letter of support from the venue.

When returning reimbursement forms, just send some form of proof that your event took place (ex:a picture, flyer or poster)

If funded, applicants may receive partial funding only, and are therefore strongly encouraged to seek additional financial support for their project.
