FY24 Allocation
$5,500
FY24 Local Priorities
The Stockbridge Cultural Council awards grants to projects in the arts, sciences (including the environment) and humanities on a reimbursement basis. The Council prioritizes free or low-cost programs in order to draw a diverse audience. The Council also looks favorably on projects that benefit students both inside and outside their educational institutions.
For the second year, the Town of Stockbridge voted to augment the state allocation for the town, this year with an additional $10,000 in local funds above the state allocation of $5,500. This grant cycle, we will award $15,500 in grants.
FY24 Local Guidelines
Applicants must reside in Berkshire County, or have a strong organizational or individual presence in the County. The Council will continue its efforts to provide meaningful support to Stockbridge-based applicants, to applicants whose projects take place in a Stockbridge venue, and to projects that positively impact Stockbridge residents. If the applicant is not the hosting venue, a venue must be identified in the application. A letter of support from the venue is required, except in cases where the venue is organizing and completing the project (school, library, theater, etc.).
