FY24 Local Priorities

Each year the West Bridgewater Cultural Council (WBCC) gathers input from the community on the types of projects that are most important to the residents of West Bridgewater. This year the West Bridgewater Cultural Council will give priority to:
– Applicants who maintain a residential, commercial or studio address in West Bridgewater may receive preference.
– Applicants applying for a project that takes place in and shows a public benefit to the residents of West Bridgewater from youth to seniors.

FY24 Local Guidelines

In addition to the State criteria where grants are issued to support arts, humanities, interpretive sciences, visual arts, performing arts, science educators, historians, and other humanists as well as community, business and civic groups, social service organizations, schools, and youth, senior and family associations, applications will be evaluated using WBCC review criteria. Projects and programs that align with the Funding Priorities are given preference in the Council’s review of applications. Based on community input, the West Bridgewater Cultural Council’s Funding Guidelines for FY24 are:
– Project categories – Projects that focus on art, humanities, musical performances, arts education and instruction, and programs that serve all age groups from children to seniors;
– Projects that elevate the voices and experiences of historically marginalized groups to highlight the current diversity of West Bridgewater;
– Projects that create opportunities for arts and community members through diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility;

– Projects must take place between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024;
